Glass Only for Round Deck Prism

Replacement glass prisms for Davey's round deck prism.  Manufactured in England by Davey & Company, these beautifully-finished prisms are solid glass.

The glass prisms are produced today in much the same way as they were 100 years ago, i.e pouring molten glass into an open top mould, cutting the flow (judged by eye) and rubbing over the top. This process can produce the following imperfections:

a) Lines or ridges on the outside surface of the glass;

b) Bubbles captured within the glass;

c) Slight dipping on the top of the glass as it contracts when it cools down.

None of these in moderation are faults but rather part of the character of this hand made item.
