This project boat was built in Malaysia in 1960 from solid teak and was initially employed in coastal work there. She was sailed to Australia in 1965 with a cargo of coconut copra but was confiscated by Australian Customs and sold off. It was converted to a pleasure craft and has had a number of owners since.
The present owner purchased the vessel in 1997 and spent a few years sailing the Whitsunday Islands, before sailing her to Maryborough where it was intended to strip her down for a complete restoration. However after replacing thousands of rusty mild steel fastenings with stainless steel, fitting new stainless steel chainplates, and a new bowsprit, the vessel is now reluctantly offered for sale.
